These books all have an ocean theme - the perfect complement to the Athens-Limestone County Public Library's Summer Reading Program, Oceans of Possibilities. Begin your stroll at Revival (303 W. The Athens-Limestone County Public Library is part of a coalition of libraries joining forces to raise funds through LIbrary Giving campaign. This one-day online fundraising event will occur on April 6 and will encourage patrons and library lovers to support their library. This campaign reminds us that libraries serve as a cornerstone for our communities. In addition to well-loved books, our library offers innovative programs that promote lifelong learning, connect patrons to technology, and advance knowledge. Donate today!

Join us in downtown Athens for our 2nd Annual Storybook Stroll beginning April 30th. Read a picture book while strolling through our beautiful downtown. We will feature 3 books written by children’s author, Peter Reynolds. Books will be changed every two weeks, so everyone can enjoy several times. At the end of the “stroll” use the QR code to receive a free ice cream cone from Kreme Delight! Each child that participates can earn one cone per book, so come back every 2 weeks to earn them all.

The final book in this year’s Storybook Stroll is Say Something by Peter Reynolds. This is an empowering story about finding your voice and using it to make a positive difference in the world. Each of us, each and every day, have the chance to say something: with our actions, our words, and our voices.
