This summer, what was once a vision is now becoming a reality. Imagine checking out a book and walking out of the library and into a gorgeous garden to read on a park bench. Families strolling through a butterfly garden and playing in the bubbler rocks. Sitting under the stars on the grassy lawn to enjoy a musical performance. Right in the heart of your hometown.

We are in the beginning phase of the construction of our Outdoor Classroom & Garden area that will be adjacent to the library along the Jefferson Street corridor. Complete with gardens with host plants native to our area, butterfly gardens, bubbler rocks, park benches, a grassy lawn for picnics and event seating and eventually a performance pavilion. We foresee gardening classes for young and old, field trips for our local schools and events filling this space and contributing to all the wonderful assets of the Athens-Limestone Public Library.

Help us complete this beautiful outdoor space!

There are still plenty of naming opportunities and bricks that are available.

Naming Opportunities in the Outdoor Classroom are the perfect way to honor or memorialize a loved one or recognize your own family. It is truly a gift with lasting impression for years to come. You can click the buttons to see the naming opportunities available or to purchase your brick online. Contact Anna Clem for more in formation.
